K12 PHILLIPINES CURICULUM FOR GRADE 10 (BIODIVERSITY AND EVOLUTION)

Students learn that the cells in similar tissues and organs in other animals are similar to those in human beings but differ somewhat from cells found in plants.
Students learn that species refers to a group of organisms that can mate with one another to produce fertile offspring. They learn that biodiversity is the collective variety of species living in an ecosystem. This serves as an introduction to the topic on hierarchical taxonomic system.
Students learn that most species that have once existed are now extinct. Species become extinct when the environment changes and they fail to adapt.

Students revisit the mechanisms involved in the inheritance of traits and the changes that result from these mechanisms. Students explain how natural selection has produced a succession of diverse new species. Variation increases the chance of living things to survive in a changing environment.

The teacher will be given some question like
a.       What is evolution ?
b.      What is the example of Genetic Variation ?
c.       What is homo sapiens?

2.      Lesson Proper :
·         Begin the lesson Ask students about their openion of
“Do you believe in the the theory saying that we, humans are from monkeys?”
After get all the answer, ask students to review and develop evolution  for something to be considered a theory.
·         Teacher show and explain a video and also power point about evolution and mechanism of evolution
·         Teacher help students who cant understand what video or what at power point that cant be understand by students
·         Students answer all the questions that teacher has given
·         Students discuss about their genetic variation with each others

3.      Generalization
Summarize the whole topic and small or short game.

·         The teacher explaining the rules for each group to can followed the lesson
·         The next meeting a teacher will annouce the winner of games that have been given last meeting
·         After that, teacher will be presented presentation and video


2.      Lesson Proper :
·         Begin the lesson Ask students have they are reading / studying about the lesson
·         After that, the teacher making 4 group and giving them some card in each group
·         Teacher explaining the rules of games like :
-          Students must to match a card that have been given
-          Students discuss about the card that have been given
-          Students choosing their spokesman to presentation what have been their discuss
-          Students explaining what they get to their friends in front of class
-          After all the group have been presentation, a teacher choosing the best group
-          Next meeting after a games,A teacher show and explaining again with powerpoint and video about what have their learn
-          A teacher help students who cant understand about the games,video, or powerpoint, that cant be understand by students
-          Students answer all the question that teacher has given

I started teaching in second week, I teach every monday until friday. I need to have 20 hours for full my Practice Teaching. So i Get so busy schedule.

Thursday=10 A,10 Aghome
Friday =10A, 10 B, 10 AgHome


Before I started my lesson I have to making lesson plan First and asking to my cooperating teacher to give me suggestion and addition teaching like what should i do for lesson.
